Ben Bruce fails APC senatorial screening

Former lawmaker Ben Murray Bruce is among those who did not pass the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening for senatorial candidates.

The APC released a list on Monday of aspirants who were not cleared to take part in the party’s Senate primary elections.

The primary elections are scheduled for Monday nationwide.

Bruce is one of the rejected aspirants from Bayelsa West and Bayelsa East senatorial districts.

In Bayelsa, the candidates not cleared include Donald Daunemigita from Bayelsa West; Sen. Ben Murray Bruce from Bayelsa East; and Sen. Benson S. Agadaga from Bayelsa East.

These aspirants will not advance to the next stage of the nomination process unless the screening committee reviews or reconsiders their status.
