BBNaija: ‘I rejected Rooboy because he’s not kind of man I want around my son’ – Thelma

Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Thelma Lawson revealed why she declined a romantic proposal from fellow contestant Rooboy during the show.

Rooboy had approached Thelma for a relationship last year, but she rejected him.

In the final episode of the reunion, which aired on Friday night, Thelma said she turned down Rooboy because he is not the type of man she would want around her son.

She noted that Rooboy’s tattoos and his lifestyle as a hypeman make him an unsuitable role model for her child.

“Rooboy could not even spell correctly. I do not want him around my son. He is too loud and his tattoos are not the lifestyle that I want. We can be friends, just friends,” she stated.

Thelma claimed that Rooboy was upset by the rejection and began to speculate that she was “a bitter person.”

Rooboy admitted he had asked Thelma out but said he was not upset by her decision.

He also accused Otega of betraying him for personal gain.

“I told Thelma that I liked her and would like to date her. I was talking to Otega as a brother not knowing he was also in the picture,” he said.
