Barcelona said its legal department is carefully examining the accusations made by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez during his emergency press conference on Tuesday afternoon, according to si.com.
Two days after Los Blancos lost 2–0 in the season‑ending El Clásico, Pérez spoke for more than an hour in a press conference that was described as a bizarre tirade, further complicating the club’s troubled finish to the season.
During the conference, Pérez announced new elections, criticised journalists, and accused La Liga and Barcelona of corruption, while remaining silent on reports of José Mourinho’s possible return and the turmoil that has affected the club on and off the field this season.
The press conference attracted nationwide attention, and Barcelona responded promptly.

The Catalans halted their La Liga title celebrations to address Pérez’s accusations related to the Negreira case, which allege that Barcelona bribed José María Enríquez Negreira, former vice‑president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s refereeing committee.
“Regarding the press conference held by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, we inform that our legal department is carefully examining his statements and accusations,” the club said in a statement.
“They are currently being analysed and the appropriate steps are being assessed. When deemed appropriate, any positions and decisions that are adopted will be communicated.”
The statement represents the latest development in the intense rivalry between the two clubs, driven by presidents Joan Laporta and Florentino Pérez.
