Barcelona lack funds to buy Harry Kane, says Bayern president Hoeness

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness has said that Barcelona cannot afford to sign Harry Kane.

Hoeness added that he expects the 32‑year‑old to stay with the Bundesliga club beyond this summer.

Kane scored a hat‑trick as the Bavarians beat VfB Stuttgart 3‑0 on Saturday, securing the DFB‑Pokal alongside their league title.

The England striker finished the season with 61 goals.

With his contract set to expire in 2027, he has been linked with a possible move to Barça.

“Harry Kane is the best transfer we’ve ever made,” Hoeness told Das Erste.

“Bayern are a buying club, not a selling club.”

When asked whether he could confirm Kane will stay, he replied, “Yes, and Barcelona have no money anyway.”
