Awoniyi Receives Commemorative Shirt for His 100th Appearance with Forest

Nottingham Forest celebrated Taiwo Awoniyi’s 100th appearance for the club, according to Completesports.com.

The Premier League side presented the Nigeria international with a commemorative shirt to mark the milestone.

Awoniyi was honoured by teammates and club staff during Friday’s training session.

The 100th appearance came in Forest’s 3‑1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago.

The 28‑year‑old scored twice for Vítor Pereira’s side in the thrilling encounter.

“Thank you guys. This would not have been possible without you guys. For all you have done this season, for where we are, for keeping the team in the Premier League,” the powerful striker told his teammates after receiving the shirt.

Awoniyi has registered four goals and one assist in 15 league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.

He joined Forest from Bundesliga club Union Berlin in 2022.
