Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his squad as “champions of England” during a Premier League title celebration.
Arteta became the first Gunners manager to secure the league title in 22 years this week, after Manchester City’s 1‑1 draw with Bournemouth left Arsenal’s rivals unable to overtake them.
The Spaniard was not present at the Sobha Realty training ground to watch the match; he was at home with his family while the squad and back‑room staff watched the game together.
Later, Arteta joined the celebrations at the Tape nightclub in Soho, where the festivities carried on into the early hours.
Arsenal’s two 16‑year‑olds, Marli Salmon and Max Dowman, were also in attendance as the team addressed the crowd with a passionate speech.
