Champions Arsenal are reportedly intensifying their pursuit of Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, according to talkSPORT.

talkSPORT says Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is personally steering the effort to secure Rogers from Europa League‑winning Villa.

Initial discussions with Rogers’ representatives are believed to have already taken place.

Arteta views signing the England playmaker as a statement of intent following Arsenal’s end to a 22‑year wait for a Premier League title.

The acquisition could raise questions about the future roles of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal may encounter competition from Chelsea, while Manchester United technical director of football Jason Wilcox has also expressed admiration for Rogers.

talkSPORT has previously reported that the 23‑year‑old would also be open to a move abroad after interest from PSG.

Villa has valued Rogers at a minimum of £80 million, but a bidding war could push the price toward £100 million.

Liverpool could target PSG star Bradley Barcola if they miss out on Yan Diomande.

talkSPORT reports that RB Leipzig striker Diomande is among several names on Liverpool’s summer target list.

With PSG also showing interest and Leipzig seeking to keep the Ivorian for another year, the Reds are broadening their search.

Barcola has been a long‑term target, and there is a sense that PSG might be willing to negotiate, especially if they secure the talented Diomande.

Adding a new wide player is a priority for the Merseysiders after Mo Salah’s departure and Cody Gakpo’s dip in form.

Barcola has scored six goals and provided 14 assists for European champions PSG this season.
