Joe Aribo is reportedly linked with a high‑profile return to Scottish Premiership giants Rangers after leaving Southampton, Completesports.com reports.
The Nigeria international became a free agent when his contract with Southampton expired, ending a four‑year spell at St Mary’s.
Aribo joined the Saints from Rangers in a £10 million deal in 2022, after having established himself as a key player for the Scottish club.
The 29‑year‑old struggled for regular playing time during his final season at Southampton and was loaned to Leicester City in January.
He found opportunities limited at the King Power Stadium, making just six appearances and starting only once.
Aribo enjoyed a successful three‑year stint during his first spell with Rangers, helping the club win the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup.
One of the standout moments of his Rangers career came in the 2022 UEFA Europa League final, where he scored in the heartbreaking defeat to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
