Nigeria international Joe Aribo has left Sky Bet Championship club Southampton after his contract expired.
The 29‑year‑old midfielder spent four seasons at St Mary’s Stadium, having joined the Saints from Scottish Premiership side Rangers in 2022.
During the second half of last season, Aribo was loaned to Leicester City, where he made six appearances and started only one match.
While at Southampton, he scored nine goals in 95 league appearances.

“We can confirm the Men’s First Team players departing upon the expiry of their contracts,” the statement read.
“A fourth 2024 promotion winner to leave, Joe Aribo’s four‑year stay at the club will also come to an end.”
“Amassing 111 appearances in total, the Nigeria international appeared 40 times in 2023/24, scoring on four occasions to lift the club back to the top flight.”
“The club would like to place on record its gratitude for the effort and commitment shown by Oriol, Will, Ross, Alex, Joe, Jamie, Charlie and Elias during their time as Saints, and wish them all the best for what comes next in their careers.”
Aribo will now look for a new opportunity after a challenging four‑year spell with Southampton on the South Coast.
