APC Primary: Osogbo Party Members Celebrate Adegoke and ITK Winning Nomination Tickets

On Tuesday, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, gathered on major roads to celebrate the selection of Mr. Kunle Adegoke, SAN, and Ibrahim Taofeek (ITK) as the party’s candidates for the Senate and House of Representatives, respectively.

The pair secured the APC senatorial and House of Representatives tickets in the state’s recently concluded primaries.

The celebratory rally, led by former Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation Mr. Sola Oladepo, began at Osogbo Township Stadium, proceeded to Freedom Park, and concluded at Old Garage.

Mr. Oladepo noted that this is the first time that residents of the state capital have produced candidates for both the Senate and the House of Representatives in the same party.

“We residents and members of APC decided to embark on this jubilation rally as a show of strength and appreciation to God for what he has done for us in terms of the choice of candidate for both the House of Rep and Senate,” he said. “We commend the process because it is very transparent, free and fair, which favors Osogbo in an unusual way. We have never had a situation where Osogbo and Olurunda would produce Senate and House of Representatives candidates in a party at the same time.”

“APC as a party will get bloc votes from these councils. We are battle‑ready for the upcoming elections to ensure victory in the August 15, 2026 and 2027 general election,” he added.

Also, Yetunde Salami, leader of the ITK Foundation, said, “We are here because of Mr. Ibrahim Taofeek and Mr. Kunle Adegoke, SAN, for their emergence as the flagbearers of APC for the House of Representatives and the Senate.”

“These two entities have done so well for the development of our party in the two councils and beyond. They galvanised the party and ensure that they fight for the course of the party at all times.”
