APC Primaries: Tinubu Says He's Satisfied, Praises Party Governors

President Bola Tinubu expressed satisfaction with how state governors have conducted the All Progressives Congress (APC) direct primaries nationwide.

The president made the comments on Saturday after voting at the ongoing APC presidential direct primaries in Lagos State.

“This is a demonstration of internal democracy and it’s been going very well according to plan,” Tinubu said. “This is grassroots politics, where every member of the party has the right to participate and be involved. This is to ensure we have internal democracy.”

“I’m very satisfied with the process to date and the governors have done well in their various states,” he added. “From the ward congresses to the local government congresses, to delegates accreditation, member registration and verification of the electoral process, it’s been going very well. At least, you will score democracy at a high level,” the President said.
