President Bola Tinubu, speaking at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, vowed to take decisive steps to safeguard Nigerians amid ongoing security challenges.

During his acceptance speech as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Tinubu highlighted the government's efforts to reinforce Nigeria’s security apparatus and protect citizens.

“I also recognize the security problems that are still affecting some areas of our cherished country,” he said. “I promise you that I take my duty to protect the lives and property of every Nigerian very seriously.”

He added that the administration has intensified support for the military and police, strengthened intelligence and surveillance capabilities, and invested in new equipment. “We are addressing the root causes of insecurity,” Tinubu explained.

The president also indicated that his government is ready for the National Assembly to amend the Constitution to allow the creation of state police forces as a national emergency measure.

“We will not stop until we restore peace and stability to every part of our country,” he declared. “We are determined, and our goal is clear: a Nigeria where every person can live, work, and dream without fear.”
