APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Sweeps Kabo Ward as Barau Hails Exercise as Positive Signal for 2027 Elections

• Lone challenger, Osifo Stanley, polls zero

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Kabo Ward, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano North Senatorial District, the home ward of Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin.

The primary was held at the APC headquarters in Kabo Ward.

During the vote, the Deputy President of the Senate displayed a poster of President Tinubu while hundreds of party members, including local government chairman Hon. Lawal Najume, lined up behind him. The exercise concluded at about 2 p.m.

Returning officer Umar Moahmmadu Rabiu reported that the only opponent of President Tinubu, Mr. Osifo Osayamen Stanley, received zero votes.

He added that three of the 1,007 eligible voters in Kabo Ward did not turn out.

Rabiu, who supervised the exercise with other members of the presidential primary committee appointed by the APC in Kano State, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the event.

After the exercise, Senator Barau thanked APC members for the large turnout and the orderly, peaceful nature of the primary.

“With the massive turnout of party members, Insha Allah, the coast is clear for the victory of President Tinubu come January 16 2027 when the Independent National Electoral Commission will conduct the presidential and National Assembly elections,” he said, according to a statement from his media aide Ismail Mudashir.

Chairman of Kabo LGA, Hon. Lawal Najume, also praised the exercise, adding that President Tinubu, Governor Abba, Senator Barau and all other APC candidates will emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
