APC Postpones 2027 House of Representatives Primaries, Sets New Date

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has delayed the House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, 16 May 2026.

This announcement came from the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Thursday.

Morka noted that the previously set dates for the senate, state houses of assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries remain unchanged.

According to the statement, the primary elections will now occur on the following dates:

House of Representatives – Saturday, 16 May 2026

Senate – Monday, 18 May 2026

State House of Assembly – Wednesday, 20 May 2026

Governorship – Thursday, 21 May 2026

Presidential – Saturday, 23 May 2026.
