APC moves representative primaries to Saturday

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that the primary election for the House of Representatives, scheduled for the 2027 general elections, will now take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026.

“The dates previously set for the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, Governorship and Presidential primaries remain unchanged,” party spokesman Felix Morka said in a statement released on Wednesday night.

He added that the revised timetable for the primaries is as follows: House of Representatives – Saturday, 16 May 2026; Senate – Monday, 18 May 2026; State House of Assembly – Wednesday, 20 May 2026; Governorship – Thursday, 21 May 2026; Presidential – Saturday, 23 May 2026.
