APC leaders storm Abuja ahead of Tinubu’s certificate of return presentation

Key figures and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have gathered at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja to conduct the final collation of the party’s presidential primary results. The event will determine whether President Tinubu will be formally declared the winner and announced as the APC’s candidate for the 2027 general election.

The ceremony is set for Sunday, after the nationwide collation of primary votes concluded on Saturday.

In a statement released by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, it was confirmed that President Tinubu will receive the APC’s Certificate of Return and the party flag as its standard bearer for the 2027 presidential race.

The gathering will feature APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), National Assembly members, and other senior party leaders.
