APC denies rumors of changes to 2027 primary election dates

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied social‑media reports that its 2027 primary election dates had been altered.

The party issued a statement on its official page to clarify the matter.

According to the statement, the previously announced primary election dates remain unchanged.

It confirmed that the House of Representatives primary will be held on Friday, 15 May 2026, and the Senate primary on Monday, 18 May 2026.

The State House of Assembly primary is scheduled for Wednesday, 20 May 2026, followed by the governorship primary on Thursday, 21 May 2026.

The presidential primary will take place on Saturday, 23 May 2026.

“This clarification has become necessary following the circulation of false and misleading reports on social media and other communication platforms suggesting otherwise,” the party said.
