APC Begins House of Representatives Primaries in Lagos

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun its primary elections to select candidates for the 2027 House of Representatives race in several wards across Lagos State.

Saleh Yipmong, the Chairman of the APC Electoral Committee in Lagos State, urged polling officers to conduct the exercise with transparency, fairness and strict compliance with electoral rules.

Yipmong’s directive was issued as the party’s electoral officials and materials were sent from the APC Lagos State Secretariat to various polling stations throughout the state.

In Ward H1, which covers Wards A and B in Victoria Island, a strong turnout of party members was observed as the primary election proceeds.

At the Government Senior College in Victoria Island, voting had not yet started when this report was filed; party members were in the process of registration and accreditation.

The primary election will produce the APC’s 24 candidates who will contest the House of Representatives seats in Lagos State in the 2027 general elections.
