Simisola Fajemirokun‑Ajayi, a House of Representatives candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged the party’s leadership, security agencies and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to safeguard the integrity of the APC primary held in the Ile‑Oluji, Oke‑Igbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency of Ondo State.

The call was made in a statement posted on Fajemirokun‑Ajayi’s official page.

According to the statement, polling‑unit reports collected by agents across the constituency reportedly showed strong support for the aspirant, especially in the Odigbo Local Government Area.

The reported figures were 4,247 votes for Fajemirokun‑Ajayi, 1,790 votes for Matthew Oye Oyerinmade and 788 votes for Festus Adefiranye.

She also alleged that intimidation, disruption and irregularities occurred in certain parts of the constituency during the primary.

Reported incidents included interference with voting lines, a lack of electoral officials and attempts to manipulate results.

Fajemirokun‑Ajayi expressed concerns about the conduct of some aides and associates linked to the Ondo State Government, warning that such actions could undermine confidence in future party elections.

“Democracy cannot survive where intimidation replaces fairness,” the statement read.

She further appealed to the APC national leadership to protect party members, women, youths and minority voices from what she described as political suppression during the process.
