APC Approves 81 Candidates for Benue House of Representatives Seats

At least 81 candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State have been cleared to contest for the party’s House of Representatives tickets across the state’s 11 federal constituencies.

Our correspondent reports that after the APC released the list of approved contenders for the primaries scheduled for today, party members are awaiting the distribution of electoral materials at the APC secretariat in Makurdi.

The distribution shows that Jechira Federal Constituency has the largest number of aspirants, with 11 individuals vying for the nomination. Buruku, Ado, and Gboko federal constituencies each have seven aspirants.

As of 10:05 a.m., the materials had not yet left the APC headquarters in Makurdi for the various constituencies, and no official statement from party officials has explained the delay.
