APC Announces Winners of Adamawa National Assembly Primary Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has announced the winners of its National Assembly primary elections held across the state’s federal constituencies.

The results were released at the collation centre in Yola, the state capital, by Prof. Yushau Mohammed, chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee for House of Representatives seats.

Prof. Mohammed stated that, following the party’s guidelines and constitution, the primaries were successfully completed in every designated constituency, with party members voting to select the standard‑bearers for the House of Representatives.

In the Fufore/Song Federal Constituency, Hon. Aliyu Boya Wakili emerged as the APC candidate and will represent the party in the upcoming elections.

Hon. James Barka won the ticket for the Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, while Hon. Nyampa Dauda Zakaria secured the nomination for the Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency. Both are expected to lead the APC campaigns in their respective areas.

Ramatu Bello was declared the winner for the Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha Federal Constituency, commonly referred to as M3, positioning her as the APC contender in the northern part of the state.

The party also confirmed Hon. Kwamoti B. Laori as its candidate for the Numan/Demsa Federal Constituency, and Hon. Suleman Ahmed GK as the nominee for the Jagamato – Jada/Ganye/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency.

For the Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency, Hon. Golfa Mallam was announced as the APC candidate, with the process reported to have concluded without disruption.

In the Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency, Mr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, popularly known as Y2G, won the primary, completing the list of House of Representatives candidates for the state on the APC banner.

The Adamawa APC congratulated all successful aspirants and urged unity within the party. Officials said the focus now shifts to consolidating support ahead of the general election.

Despite the competitive landscape, the party expressed optimism that its candidates would strengthen its prospects in the state and called for unity, progress, and victory in the forthcoming elections.
