Amaewhule, Wike’s ally, wins APC primary for Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in Rivers.

Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency and has been named the party’s candidate for the seat.

Amaewhule currently serves as Speaker of the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly.

He has represented Obio-Akpor Constituency I in the Assembly since 2011.

During his tenure, the Assembly has pursued several attempts to impeach the state governor, Sim Fubara.

Amaewhule is a staunch supporter of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and is widely seen as an ally of the former governor.
