Amaechi: Politicians Won’t Stop Stealing Unless Nigerians Stone Them

Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi warned that politicians will continue to steal unless Nigerians take action.

Amaechi made the remarks on Friday during an interview on Arise Television’s “Prime Time.”

He said the politicians are impoverishing the nation and urged Nigerians to wake up and act.

“As governor of Rivers State at Freedom House in a ceremony organized by Prof Wole Soyinka, I told Nigerians that we the politicians will not stop stealing if Nigerians don’t stone us,” he said.

“The politicians are impoverishing Nigerians. I’m a different politician and there are others as well.”

“A lot of governors have made positive contributions. But governance is slowly dying and it’s quite painful,” he added.
