Alebiosu: Playing For Eagles Biggest Highlight Of My Career

Blackburn Rovers right‑back Ryan Alebiosu has said that playing for the Super Eagles at the international level is one of the biggest highlights of his football career.

He made his senior debut for Nigeria against Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, a match the country won 3‑1.

In a conversation with Rovers TV, the Nigerian international expressed a strong desire to keep representing the Super Eagles, saying the experience motivates him to improve further.

“I think it was just a bonus,” Alebiosu said.

“When I signed, I didn’t think much of getting an international call‑up. When it did happen it felt like a dream come true. For that to happen was one of the biggest highlights of my career, playing for my country and getting called up. It really made my season as well.”

“When the international stuff happened, it just boosted my confidence even more. It made me realize there’s a lot that could have been done and a lot has happened, but I am just grateful.”

“It’s been brilliant as a team and them getting called up for Nigeria, it’s an honour. Getting that at the age of 23, which was halfway through last season when I received the call‑up, it just gives me more hunger for the next season. There’s still a lot to improve on but now I just have the belief that there’s more to bring to the table.”
