Akpabio pledges strong support from Akwa Ibom for Tinubu in the 2027 South‑South elections.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated that Akwa Ibom State will provide the largest vote count in the South‑South for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

He delivered the comment at a political gathering in Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday, attended by party stakeholders and supporters who met to reaffirm backing for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the upcoming election cycle.

According to Akpabio, residents of Akwa Ibom are already experiencing the effects of Tinubu’s administration and intend to reward the president with substantial support at the ballot box.

“We will deliver the highest votes for President Bola Tinubu in the entire South-South come 2027,” Akpabio said.

He also called on party members to stay united and dedicated to strengthening the APC both within the state and throughout the region.

His remarks have prompted reactions on social media as discussion about the 2027 presidential election continues to grow nationwide.
