Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has addressed speculation about a possible summer move away from Sevilla, according to Afrik Foot.
The Nigerian forward has attracted interest from French club Marseille, with Spanish outlet Fichajes reporting that the Ligue 1 side is looking to bolster its attack for the upcoming season.
Adams joined Sevilla from Montpellier during the January transfer window last year. After a challenging start in La Liga, he finished the season with ten goals.
That return has led to suggestions that Sevilla might consider offers for the 26‑year‑old.

“I have not heard anything about that, but this is the transfer window and there will always be many rumours,” he said. “It is not important to me at the moment. I have a contract with Sevilla, and we have just come through a difficult season, so now is not really the time to focus on such things.”

“It all depends on what happens, but I am happy at Sevilla. Rumours are part of football, but it is not something I am thinking about right now,” the former Sogndal forward said.
Adams is currently with the Super Eagles camp ahead of Nigeria’s friendly against Portugal and appears determined to set transfer talk aside.
Reports suggest Marseille are preparing an offer of around €18 million for the striker. Sevilla, meanwhile, values him at roughly €25 million and is not actively seeking a sale.
With a contract running until 2029, Sevilla remains in a strong position for any negotiations.
Should Sevilla sell Akor Adams?
Sevilla could consider a substantial offer. Adams struggled in his first six months after joining from Montpellier in January 2025, failing to score or assist during his debut half‑season in Spain.
His 10 goals in the Spanish top flight last season, coupled with a strong AFCON 2025 campaign, have boosted his market value.
Given Sevilla’s recent financial challenges, a bid close to their €25 million valuation could provide funds to strengthen other areas of the squad.
The interest from Marseille might also allow Sevilla to make a quick profit on a player whose value remains high despite an initial adaptation period.

For now, both player and club appear aligned. Adams has publicly declared his commitment to Sevilla, while the Spanish side is under no pressure to sell.
Unless Marseille returns with a significantly improved offer, Sevilla may be better served by letting the Nigerian striker establish himself as the main man at the Ramón Sánchez‑Pizjuán.
