Nigeria’s Kanyinsola Ajayi beat world champion Oblique Seville to finish first in the men’s 100m at the London Diamond League on Saturday.
Ajayi won the thrilling race in 9.84 seconds to equal his national record.
DAILY POST recalls that the 21-year-old also beat Seville with the same time of 9.84 seconds at the Prefontaine Classic earlier this month.
Ajayi set the Nigerian record at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
The record was previously held by Olusoji Fasuba.
He will look to continue his impressive run at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
