Swedish club AIK Stockholm has said goodbye to Zadok Yohanna after the 18‑year‑old completed a move to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, Completesports.com reports.

Brighton announced the signing of the highly rated winger on Saturday. Yohanna signed a five‑year contract that will keep him at the Amex Stadium until June 2031. The transfer fee was not disclosed.

The Nigerian will complete his move when the transfer window reopens, pending the usual regulatory approvals. He turns 19 later this month.

Yohanna has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting prospects, making a strong impact in Sweden’s top division this season. He scored two goals and provided three assists in seven league appearances.

“It has been a great honor to have worked with Zadok. We will be excited to follow his continued career – and I speak for the entire club when I wish him the best of luck in the future,” Takkula told the club’s official website.

“In addition, I would like to clarify that this transfer is a result of the change in direction the club has already made, and of all the measures we have taken along the way. This is completely in line with the plan we have set, and we will continue to follow it.”

“Here the choice of club is also relevant, Brighton offers a development environment that benefits Zadok and in the long term also AIK. Our vision, and the strategies we have worked on in relation to that vision, remain unchanged.”

Remarkable Rise In Europe

Zadok began his career at the Ikon Allah Football Academy in Nigeria before moving to Sweden in 2025, where he quickly adapted to European football with AIK.

He has made 18 appearances for AIK this season in the league and cup, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

The young winger started in the club’s U19 team before progressing to the first team.

Yohanna made his first‑team debut for AIK against IFK Göteborg on August 17, 2025.
