Former Nigerian international Ifeanyi Udeze says the Super Eagles must treat their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with utmost seriousness.

He made the remark after Nigeria was drawn into Group L with Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea‑Bissau.

Speaking to Brila FM, Udeze urged the squad to avoid repeating the early struggles Nigeria faced in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

“I am not surprised that Tanzania is already bragging; they have every right to do so because they are in our group,” he added.

Nigeria Open Campaign Against Madagascar In Uyo

The Super Eagles will begin their 2027 AFCON qualifying run at home against Madagascar.

The match is scheduled for September 23 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
