Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced that power has been restored to the State House, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Lugbe, Garki, and other parts of the capital following a recent blackout.
The company issued the notice on Saturday night.
The outage was caused by a fault at the Apo substation operated by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), which left large areas of Abuja without electricity.
TCN had earlier that Saturday reported that its engineers were working to resolve the fault.
Later that night, AEDC confirmed that electricity supply had been reinstated to the affected zones.
“Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) is pleased to inform our esteemed customers that power supply has now been restored to affected feeders following the successful restoration of the 10 MVA Transformer (TR3) at the Apo Transmission Substation by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN),” AEDC stated.
