ADC women leaders endorse Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen, back his candidacy at North‑Central town hall

Women leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from across the North Central zone have endorsed the presidential aspiration of Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen (OON), describing him as the candidate best positioned to restore competence, compassion, and credibility to national leadership.

The endorsement came on Saturday during the ADC North Central Townhall held in Abuja, where women stakeholders, party leaders, professionals, youth representatives, and delegates gathered to engage with the presidential aspirant ahead of Monday’s ADC presidential primaries.

The women leaders said Hayatu‑Deen’s message resonated deeply because it reflected a clear understanding of the hardship facing ordinary Nigerians, especially women and young people who continue to bear the heaviest burden of the country’s economic and security crises.

Speaking after the townhall, the women leaders said they were particularly moved by Hayatu‑Deen’s emphasis on the role of women in holding families and communities together during difficult times, as well as his commitment to building an economy that creates opportunities, restores dignity, and improves security across the country.

“We listened carefully to all the issues raised at the townhall, and we are convinced that Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen possesses the competence, empathy, discipline, and national outlook required to lead Nigeria at this difficult moment in our history,” the women leaders said.

They also commended Hayatu‑Deen for maintaining an issue‑based campaign anchored on integrity, ideas, and national renewal rather than personal attacks or transactional politics.

“At a time when Nigerians are desperate for serious leadership, Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen has continued to distinguish himself through substance, clarity, and courage. He speaks to the real issues affecting families, women, businesses, farmers, and young people. His vision gives hope,” the statement added.

The women leaders further praised Hayatu‑Deen’s commitment to ethical leadership and internal party democracy, noting that his conduct throughout the primary process reflects the kind of leadership culture Nigerians expect from the ADC.

They called on delegates participating in Monday’s presidential primaries to support Hayatu‑Deen’s candidacy, stating that the party has a historic opportunity to present Nigerians with a credible and competent alternative capable of rebuilding trust in governance.

“The future of Nigeria cannot be entrusted to politics as usual. This is a defining moment for our party and our country. We believe Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen represents the leadership capacity, economic understanding, and moral clarity required to move Nigeria forward,” the statement concluded.
