The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it has moved on from the departure of former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso.

In an interview on Wednesday on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, called the duo’s exit a “glitch.”

DAILY POST notes that Obi and Kwankwaso recently left the ADC for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), citing internal political wranglings and court cases as reasons.

During the interview, the ADC spokesman said, “Peter Obi and Kwankwaso moving from the ADC was a glitch. We have moved on from it.

“We have stabilised and moved forward because the objective remains the same, stopping the steady deterioration of governance in the country and strengthening multi-party democracy.

“While some have moved to other parties and others remain in ADC, the broader vision of building a strong opposition coalition is still very much alive within the current political dynamics.”
