ADC Primaries: Atiku Takes Early Lead, Wins Five States

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is leading the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primaries, according to the Returning Officers in several states.

Atiku has won the early count in five states.

Daily Post reports that the ADC contest is being led by Atiku, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, and economist Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen.

Early tallies from various states show Atiku holding a strong advantage.

He has defeated Amaechi in Gombe, Abia, Ebonyi, Sokoto, and Zamfara.

The vote totals released by the Returning Officers are:

Gombe – 139,334

Abia – 25,153

Ebonyi – 15,300

Sokoto – 68,823

Zamfara – 60,500
