ADC presidential primary: Atiku leads Amaechi and Hayatu‑Deen by a wide margin in Edo, Ondo, and Oyo.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released the results of its presidential primary held in Edo, Ondo, and Oyo States.

The results show former Vice President Atiku Abubakar defeating his rivals, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and businessman Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen, by a wide margin.

Based on the preliminary results from other states, Atiku is in a strong lead to become the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Atiku Abubakar – 17,729 votes

Rotimi Amaechi – 10,116 votes

Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen – 1,906 votes

Ondo State:

Atiku Abubakar – 18,287 votes

Rotimi Amaechi – 6,031 votes

Mohammed Hayatu‑Deen – 857 votes

Oyo State:

Atiku Abubakar – 23,011 votes

Rotimi Amaechi – 1,553 votes
