Inaugurating the unit, the Commissioner of Police, Kabiru Umar Hassan, emphasised that the task force is aimed at ensuring rapid response to criminal activities.

According to him, the team will be led by an experienced officer who has undergone specialised training to ensure effective crime-fighting efforts.

He added that the task force will comprise officers who have received advanced training and are expected to deliver results within the legal framework.

He thanked Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his consistent support, assuring him of the command’s commitment to fighting crime.

In his remarks at the inauguration, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri said the unit would go a long way in curbing violent crime.
