Actress Sandra Okunzuwa: Kissing scenes in movies caused her to lose a relationship

Nollywood actress Sandra Okunzuwa has discussed the emotional and personal difficulties that actresses encounter when filming romantic scenes, admitting that a kissing role led to the termination of a relationship.

In a recent interview on the BTS Reality Show, she explained that many people mistakenly believe actors enjoy intimate scenes on set, but in reality, they can be uncomfortable and emotionally draining.

“If you have twenty people watching you while kissing in the movie, it is impossible to enjoy it. We do not enjoy it, we do not get in the mood.”

“If it is something we can scrap out completely and still make viewers enjoy it, I would be happy with it,” she added.

She added that performing intimate scenes can adversely affect personal relationships, particularly when partners find it difficult to distinguish fiction from reality.

“These things affect our personal relationships. For instance, I had to leave a relationship because of this,” she revealed.

She recalled that her former boyfriend confronted her after receiving a video clip of her kissing another actor on a set.

“He called me and told me that he was just sent a video of my kissing this actor on set. It is hard; it is not easy.”

“I do not blame people who say they cannot date actresses because it is not everyone who can take certain things,” she added.
