Professor Jerome Nyameh, the Accord Party’s governorship candidate in Taraba State, urged supporters to remain calm after a Federal High Court ruling. He said the decision does not affect the party’s future or its participation in upcoming elections.

“Don’t be discouraged by the Federal High Court judgment. ACCORD will be on the ballot in 2027,” Nyameh said. He explained that the ruling is an initial judgment and that the case can be taken to higher courts, including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

Nyameh emphasized that the matter is far from resolved and that the party will pursue all legal avenues to secure justice. He also confirmed that the Accord Party continues to be a viable political platform with established structures nationwide and is gaining support.

The professor called on members to stay law‑abiding, united, and focused, encouraging ongoing grassroots mobilisation despite what he described as temporary legal and political distractions. He noted that preparations for future political engagements are underway and that internal cohesion remains strong.

Nyameh referenced prominent party figures, such as Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, highlighting the Accord Party’s strength through credible and influential actors.

He reassured supporters that the party leadership is committed to maintaining a presence in Nigeria’s democratic space and is strategically preparing for the 2027 general elections.
