ACAOSA President Congratulates Alumni on College’s 75th Anniversary

Otunba Sola Adewumi, President of the Aquinas College Old Students Association (ACAOSA), offered heartfelt congratulations to Aquinarians worldwide as St. Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, celebrates its 75th anniversary.

In a message on behalf of the worldwide Executive Council and the entire ACAOSA family, Adewumi characterized the milestone as a celebration of seven and a half decades of academic excellence, character formation, integrity, leadership, and outstanding contributions to society by Aquinarians across the world.

“This remarkable milestone is a celebration of seven and a half decades of academic excellence, character formation, integrity, leadership, and outstanding contributions to society by generations of Aquinarians across the world,” he said.

He also used the occasion to honor the institution’s founding fathers, former and current administrators, teachers, staff, and alumni whose sacrifices and dedication have preserved Aquinas College’s legacy and values for decades.

Adewumi highlighted that the 75th anniversary offers a valuable chance for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the college’s ongoing growth and development.

He added that it is a moment to reinforce the bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and service that connect Aquinarians across the globe.

Wishing all Aquinarians a joyous and memorable celebration, the president urged members to keep upholding the ideals of excellence and integrity that have long defined the college.

“May we continue to uphold the ideals of excellence and integrity for which our college is renowned,” he said.

Founded in 1951, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, is marking its Platinum Jubilee with the theme “Celebrating 75 Years of Excellence, Integrity, and Service.”
