AC Milan Job Bigger Than Man United –Amorim

New AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim has disclosed that reviving the club is bigger than his tenure at Manchester United.

Upon arriving in Milan to finalize his new role, the Portuguese coach admitted he originally intended to take on a smaller challenge after his Old Trafford departure but ultimately found the Rossoneri’s task to be greater.

He stated that the task at hand is even more challenging than the one he faced when he took over from Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

“If you see my old interview that I gave, it is a club that is really special to me.

“It is a big challenge. I promised myself after the last one (Manchester United) that I would choose a smaller challenge.

“But I am here, and (the challenge) is even bigger.”

Amorim was appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor at AC Milan on a three-year contract after the Italian giants missed out on Champions League qualification.

Amorim left Manchester United in January 2026 following a bruising 14-month spell where he recorded a 38.10% win rate across 63 games.
