Abia begins reallocating newly constructed shops

The Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce announced that a reallocation exercise for newly‑built shops at the Ekeoha Shopping Complex in Aba has begun.

The exercise is being conducted in partnership with Rhino Homes and Properties Limited.

In a public statement released on Tuesday, the ministry clarified that only individuals who have fully paid for shops in the Phase One development are eligible to participate.

“The Abia State Government, through the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, announces the commencement of the Reallocation Exercise of newly‑built shops at Ekeoha Shopping Complex, Aba in partnership with Rhino Homes and Properties Limited,” the statement read.

The ministry specified that eligible participants include existing shop owners whose original allocation certificates appear in the Market Register, as well as new applicants who have obtained preliminary clearance from Rhino Homes or the ministry.

“Participation in the Reallocation Exercise is exclusive to persons who have paid for new shops in the Phase One development,” the statement added.

Applicants seeking full clearance and reallocation must submit documented proof of prior ownership or preliminary clearance together with evidence of full payment for the shop allocation.

The reallocation exercise is scheduled to run from 7 May to 14 May 2026.

“The Reallocation Exercise is open to all qualified participants from Thursday, May 7th, 2026 to Thursday, May 14th, 2026,” the ministry said.

Interested participants may complete the process either online or in person.

For online participation, applicants were directed to abiamrv.com.ng​ to fill out forms and upload the required documents using an active email address.

“Online – browse to abiamrv.com.ng and complete the forms, uploading the required documents,” the statement noted.

Applicants who prefer physical verification were instructed to visit the GADA Building, No. 3 River Avenue, Aba, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on working days, bringing both original and duplicate copies
