President Bola Tinubu has been selected as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate after defeating Stanley Osifo.

In the APC presidential primaries, which took place across 8,809 wards nationwide, Tinubu secured 10.99 million votes, while Osifo received 16,504.

The results were announced during the national collation of the primary results at the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

APC governors from 31 states, along with senior party officials serving as coordinators and collation officers, presented the direct primary outcomes to the Presidential Primary Election Committee. The committee is chaired by former Senate President Pius Anyim.

Tinubu dominated the vote in all 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, winning 100% of the votes in most of them. Osifo, however, performed strongly in a few states, recording 5,248 votes in Niger, 2,675 in Kano, 1,186 in Lagos, 1,007 in Abia, 929 in Oyo, 779 in Benue, and 768 in Nasarawa.
