2027: Fubara clears air on ‘defection’ to NDC

Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has addressed rumors that he has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Fubara reaffirmed that he remains a member of the APC and that his party affiliation has not changed.

He urged the public to disregard social‑media speculation about a departure from the APC.

“I’m a member of the APC, and nothing has changed. Whatever happens, what is important is supporting the overall interest of the party,” he said.
