The former Chairman of Ringim Local Government Area in Jigawa State, Hon. Shehu Sule Udi, who had previously served under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has purchased a nomination form for the Ringim and Taura federal constituencies on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Daily Post reports that Udi left the APC, citing a deviation from the party’s founding ideals as the reason for his decision.
In a formal and public declaration, he announced that the ADC would be his party for the next political journey.
This move signals Udi’s entry into the race for the Ringim and Taura seats in the 2027 general elections.
Following the purchase of his forms, Udi said his ambition is driven by a commitment to reposition the constituency for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
He pledged to always put the interests of the constituency first and prioritize their welfare.
