2027: Donald Duke met criteria to be our presidential candidate – PRP

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has confirmed that its 2027 presidential candidate, Donald Duke, satisfies all the party’s requirements to serve as its flag bearer.

PRP National Chairman Hakeem Baba‑Ahmed made the statement on Thursday during an interview on Arise Television’s “Morning Show.”

He explained, “Former Cross River Governor Donald Duke applied to join the party like everyone else. He complied with all the necessary procedures, including the candidate screening process.”

“At the time, we convened a consensus meeting involving three representatives from the southern region to determine a consensus candidate, which is a mandatory requirement,” he added.

“Although he was abroad, Duke participated in the online meeting with the three representatives. They reached an agreement and interacted with one another. That is sufficient for the party and for the other candidates.”

“Being physically absent does not violate any rules, regulations, or etiquette, and he fulfilled every obligation expected of a PRP candidate.”
