Achieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has revealed the first action he would take if elected president.
Speaking in an interview on Arise Television late Friday, Amaechi said he would enforce the rule of law, emphasizing the need for order.
He accused President Bola Tinubu of using hunger as a means to manipulate voters.
According to Amaechi, on election day Nigerians will receive a bag of rice that he would distribute, yet many will still vote against him and the All Progressives Congress, APC, because a single bag of rice does not solve hunger for the rest of the year.
“If the APC says they are strong, why are they influencing government institutions against the opposition? Why won’t they uphold the rule of law?” he asked.
“The first thing I will do as president of Nigeria is enforce the rule of law. There has to be law and order.”
“A bag of rice does not solve hunger for the rest of the year. If the APC is as strong as they claim, why are they not allowing opposition parties to thrive?” he added.
