Canadian singer, rapper Drake, has again lost a $1.5 million FIFA World Cup bet after Spain defeated Argentina.

DAILY POST reports that Argentina was defeated 1-0 by Spain in the 2026 World Cup final on Sunday.

Drake had backed Argentina to beat Spain, placing a $1.5 million wager through betting platform Stake to cash out $5.1 million.

The singer’s latest loss has reignited discussion about “Drake curse”, a viral internet theory suggesting that any teams publicly backed by the singer often go on to lose.

Drake had earlier this year lost a bet after backing Conor McGregor, a former UFC two-division champion
who was defeated by Max Holloway.

The latest setback adds to Drake’s growing list of unsuccessful sports wagers as fans created a TheDrakeCurse.com website to track his sports predictions and betting record.
