Manchester City will face Arsenal in the 2026 Community Shield, the curtain‑raiser for the 2026/2027 season.

The matchup was confirmed after City defeated Chelsea 1‑0 in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Antoine Semenyo scored the decisive goal in the second half, giving Pep Guardiola’s side a domestic double after their earlier Carabao Cup triumph in March.

With this win, the domestic cup titles will be shared between City and Arsenal if the Gunners secure the Premier League crown.

Even if Arsenal do not win the league, they are expected to finish in second place.
