Arsenal teenager Max Dowman has become the youngest player ever to win the English Premier League title.
The record was set after Arsenal claimed their first Premier League crown in 22 years, following Manchester City’s draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
At 16 years and 144 days old on the final day of the season, Dowman surpassed the previous record held by Phil Foden, who won the league with Manchester City in 2017‑18 at 17 years and 350 days old.
Dowman’s achievements this season include becoming the Premier League’s youngest scorer at 16 years and 73 days after a late goal in a 2‑0 win over Everton in March, and the Champions League’s youngest player at 15 years and 308 days in November 2025.
He will receive a winner’s medal after meeting the minimum requirement of five league appearances during Arsenal’s title‑winning campaign.
Since his debut in August 2025, when he became the Premier League’s youngest player at 15 years and 235 days old, Dowman has made all five of his appearances from the bench.
The Arsenal academy graduate has emerged as one of the most discussed young talents in Europe, praised for his composure, technical skill and maturity.
Dowman joins a select group of teenage Premier League winners, including former Arsenal stars Nicolas Anelka and Gaël Clichy.
Manager Mikel Arteta has integrated Dowman carefully into the first team this season.
