Proteins are large, complex molecules, that plays many positive roles in the body. They do most of the work in cells and are required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body tissues and organs. Protein is built amino acids. The human body makes amino acids in two ways, either from scratch or by modifying others. A few amino acids must come from food. Animal sources of protein tend to deliver all the amino acids we need while other protein sources, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds, lack one or more essential amino acid.
The organs, tissues, muscles and hormones are made from proteins. The protein found in food, is used by the body to develop, grow and function properly. Nothing is more important than consuming proteinous foods, and because proteins are involved in just about every body function, it’s important that you consume foods, high in protein every day during every meal, to prevent protein deficiency, which can cause havoc to the body. Eating high proteinous diet, has its health benefits.
