Have you ever been in a situation where you felt there was no hope?
A little girl of about two years had an illness that affected her eyes and ears. This made her blind and deaf at a very tender age, with no hope of a bright future. Fortunately for her, she was able to fight through the storms and break into success. She became the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
It has been 51 years since her death and her legacy still lives. She has been able to leave her foot prints bold in the sand of time by creating a foundation that helps fight blindness and malnutrition.
Her name is Hellen Keller, she gave voice to the disabled and created a path that makes her recognized all around the world against the odds of self pity, dejection and pain.
Helen Keller did not succumb to the overwhelming odds that fought against her. Her eyes and ears would have been her lube in the desert, but when she lost them she didn’t give up the fight. She improvised with her mind, chose to be strong and she held onto her will to succeed. Never give up the fight!
